IF this is a assembly hall owned by WT, why the cost so high. Isn't there a donation from each congregation to support their assembly hall each month??How much is donated by HQ??? If there's a deficit why HQ don't kick in and stop being so greedy.

by Sour Grapes inlast saturday i sat through the one day assembly and i waited for the anticipated accounts report.
for one day the costs were $10,000.
even my wife questioned why the costs are so high and why don't they give a break down on the costs?

1000 Years is Like 1 Day?

as all j-dubs know, whenever someone complains about how long the "new system" is taking too arrive, they use the excuse that jehovah works on his own time.
quite a few times during the public talks, i've heard speakers say the phrase "1000 years to us is only one day to jehovah" (my parents never stop talking about this).

With up to 70% of young ones leaving what's the future of the jw's?
by karter inthey wlll always have new people coming in but the majority of the congro's are getting older particularly the inner city ones were it is expensive to live.
they are struggling to get men to be elders and m.s's and this can only get worse as very few young ones stay around.

My family are the most indoctrinated JW I have ever known, 38 JW's in my family and only 3 of us(my sons and I) walked away since 1965, that's it. Great nieces and nephews are not thinking about leaving. it would take God himself to come down and tell them you are in a cult and they may still turn to the GB and ask, is He the deceiver? My JW family are fanatical it's scary, I don't see not 1 young one leaving soon.

If greed is the reason for the WTS deceptive and lying, who benefits??? We know the GB fly first class and live well but is there one or more person who can walk into a bank and write a check for thousands of dollar because there is no oversight. If the WT close their doors today who would inherit the fortune???? It would be nice to have an independent audit. We may be surprise to see the saving and checking account of some of the GB members, well it wouldn't surprise me. The GB is more corrupt than our president candidates, unless they really believe they speak for GOD and if so they are mental and anything can happen.

by schnell inseveral years ago, i was introduced to a "wonderful" company called fortune hi tech marketing by a brother and his wife.
they had been introduced by a former sheriff who claims he had researched the company and found no leins or judgments, and that former sheriff had been brought in by a pastor.
you can read what happened with fhtm on wikipedia if you so desire.. this whole new idea of multilevel marketing had my brain reeling, though, and soon enough, i actually signed up with none other than prepaid legal.

JW's will talk to a DF person if you sign up for their down line in one of their many Pyramid schemes.Back in the 80's I walked away from the borg but that didn't stop a sister from visiting my home (I was single) to sign me up for Pre-Paid Legal and a brother inviting me to a meeting where these brothers came up with the craziest Pyramid scheme. I met the brother one night at my lodge(I was working the bar that night), his kids were friends of my kids,so he ask me to attend. You may think this was strange, a JW drinking in a Masonic lodge but there were several that came in unaware I was a xJW. The brother wasn't a elder but when I attended their meeting(Pyramid scheme) I was surprised to see elders there. The hypocrisy, no problem eating afterward with the brothers. I guess they figured I could get the folks in my down line who are wordily and who will die soon....
